Nestled among thorny times are smooth moments of calm and serenity.

 

               Take the vessel from it’s carapace, 

                 cradle it in your palm, 

                   ponder in its silvery glow 

                    and dream… 

                    of full moon nights

                   the curve of a ghost gum’s bough

                 the tranquil inner whorl of a shell 

               and the soft tenderness of a petal.

 

At the centre of the maelstrom is wonder.
